This is the first in a multi-part joint podcast series from Well Doc Alberta and the Alberta Medical Association’s Physician and Family Support Program (PFSP). Throughout this series Dr. Jane Lemaire and Dr. Terrie Brandon are joined by Fleur Yumol, a clinical social worker and the administrator of the PFSP’s 24-hour support line, to discuss strategies to promote physician wellness during the pandemic. 

In this episode, Fleur discusses self-awareness: what it is, how to harness it, and why it is such a valuable skill for effective coping during this challenging time.

Fleur Yumol MSc, MSW, RCSW
Fleur has 20 years of experience as a clinical Social Worker. She has a passion for people and organizations and recently started her own boutique organizational wellness company. 


She received her Masters of Social Work from the University of Calgary. Fleur earned a Master of Science degree in Business Administration and Economics from Lund University in Sweden where the focus of her thesis was understanding employee morale during an economic downturn. 


For over 20 years she has been working with physicians through the Physician and Family Support Program as a therapist and now as the administrator of the 24/7/365 support line. 


Fleur is passionate about physical health and well-being, having completed several marathons and triathlons, and loves white-water kayaking and rock climbing.
